The First Step. I signed up for the free workshop "Woman Unleashed" run by Amber DivaDawn Bonnici and have already watched the introductory video. So while I'm waiting for Dec, 20 for the workshop to start I have purchased a Fabriano EccoQua blanck journal which is 8.25 in. by 11.7 in. and worked on decorating the cover. I started with a Gellie print background which you can see in this post. Next I traced around a silhouette mask I found in a magazine and painted with black and white acrylic paint which I loosely mixed on my palette. I used a cardboard tube to stamp a few more black circles on the page. The title is an outline font which is painted with acrylic paint and some of the journaling is computer generated. Fly is rubber stamped and coloured with Twistables Fun Effects crayons. Several other stamps were used and the circle border was coloured with Aquacolor crayons and blended with a water brush. I bordered the paper with black acrylic, made torn edges and used decoupage medium to glue the finished design to my journal cover. I have tied three pieces of Boutique hand spun silk sari yarn to the spine to help reinforce the binding.
