Today's journal spread fits week 14 Seeds in Journal52 and itinerary 10 in the Art Journal Caravan on The Art Journal Emporium I started by spreading gesso on the 2 page spread, then painted blues and greens acrylic paint on the wet gesso. I used stencils and a sponge to remove some of the paint. When that was dry, I brushed gesso in the areas where I wanted to stamp the elephant and tree. I coloured these images with Crayola markers, added painted drywall tape for the ground and did my journaling with a brush pen and several markers. The butterflies and "believe in your dreams" is another rubber stamp.

A quick journal spread for today and this one is good for Journal52 week 6 Under my feet and over my head and Art Journal Emporium Feb. challenge figment.
I did this mostly digital with elements from the Feb Grab bag and collage papers from Art Journal Emporium. I over painted the rainbow with Portfolio pastels and also painted th edges of the pages with the same medium. Getting ready to go on a trip and will be off-line most of the time, so last journal page for awhile. I Believe
I was working on a monochromatic journal page for week 5 of Journal 52 when the itinerary 5 of the Art Journal Caravan came out, talk about serendipity. I divided my page into lemon and greens and journaled about my continuing journey working on my intentions and goals that I posted last month. The background is Dylusions spray and I covered the part of the page that I didn't want to get colour on, sprayed and spread the ink around with a wet brush. Repeated for the other colour. The jar for lemon water and the celery juice jar are stamped then painted with watercolours. Believe is an outline font image transferred and coloured with felt markers. The washi tape is from last months goodies in The Art Journal Emporium I added this to the Lets Play link-up #artjournalcaravan #artjournalemporium
I am having an amazing time with the return of the Art Journal Caravan on the Art Journal Emporium. I have heard about it from friends who participated in previous years, but with the return this year it's my first time here. I have managed to do a journal page every week of Jan, some are for the weekly itineraries, some have been from the Art Journal Pockets challenges and some from the monthly Art Journal Emporium challenges. There is even prizes for some of these challenges so you might want to check it out and the goodies available at Tangie Baxters store Now on with my Itinerary 4 in Art Journal Caravan and Journal 52 week 5 challenge psychedelic. I used Rebecca Uncaged paper 3, Tangie's collage sheets 1 and 5 from the Jan grab bag. The face is from Practically Imperfect, the 6 month loyalty bonus. I did the thinking deeper to express my step to following my goals and intentions lisited in AJP Goals challenge. Then I stamped the flowers and coloured them and the triangles with Potfolio pastels and pearlescent watercolours. This is my journal spread for AJC itinerary 3 and Journal52 week 4 Full Moon. I used vintage music paper with a fox and goose illustration on it, but missed the lace. I have also included the quote from itinerary 3. I painted the background with gesso and acrylics, used stencils to wipe off some of the paint. My moon is painted with acrylic paint and has a bit of iridescent medium around the edge. The girl image is Carson from a digital kit by Rebecca McMeen.
I used challenge 1 and 2 from the Art Journal Emporium for my journal spread. It also fits in with the itinerary 1 of the Art Journal Caravan. All of the elements except the washi tape and stenciling is from the Jan. grab bag and bonus items from Jan. in the Art Journal Emporium I have included my intention (word) of the year "heal" and 6 words to explore becoming uncaged. My word "Heal" was stamped on the page and on a teabag fabric which was glued over the page. fly and unleashed was painted with pearlescent watercolour. The journal spread also fits the Journal 52 Week 1 challenge for Word of the year "Heal"
