Now the big question is which will I send to my swap partner. That is the difficult decision I have given myself to make, what do you think?
I just completed my original planned April quiltie which I was working on when I got distracted with the idea in the previous post. I stamped the egg on a baby wipe which I used for clean-up at Gellie print party. I then fused the egg image onto a fabric sample and cut it out. The background fabric is another fabric sample and the eggs are stitched down with seed beads. The quilt layers are joined together with a bead stitch edging. I added an embroidered rickrack trim to the bottom and top of the quiltie.

The Byhandartists Yahoo group is continuing with the monthly quiltie swap so I decided to play with a raw edge quilt using 4 layers of home decor weight fabric samples. The ruler segment at the bottom is rubber stamped on fabric as is the dress form. This is embellished with a button and a hand charm. The gold colour lace along the edge is knit with 10/3 cotton on 1.75mm needles. I am not yet sure if this will be my submission for the swap but I sure had fun playing today. Please feel free to leave a comment and let me know what you think. |
